Their focus is not only on career placement but also on building long-term professional relationships and fostering community growth across the islands.

The current opening is for an Event & Engagement Coordinator position at a center located in Honolulu, HI. This full-time, temp-to-hire role offers a competitive hourly pay range of $24 to $27 depending on experience. The position is on-site with parking provided for convenience. The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly organized, collaborative professional who thrives in coordinating the multiple facets involved in planning and executing successful events. Reporting directly to the Event & Engagement Manager, the Coordinator plays an essential role in supporting the logistical details, timeline management, and overall operational execution of events that align with the company's mission and objectives.

This role demands strong project management skills, the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively, and a proactive approach to problem-solving especially during the dynamic circumstances of on-site event management. Responsibilities include developing detailed event timelines and run-of-show documents to ensure smooth flow and communication. The Coordinator will manage diverse elements such as room setup, rental services, catering, audiovisual support, transportation logistics, event staffing, and coordination with various vendors. Effective communication internally with team members and externally with partners is critical to meet program goals and create engaging and welcoming event experiences.

Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for guest management, including handling invitations, tracking RSVPs, managing guest lists, and generating reports using CRM and project management tools like HubSpot, Asana, and Airtable. Gathering post-event feedback and supporting continuous improvements is another important aspect of the job, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to delivering high-quality events that resonate culturally and programmatically. Adaptability and hands-on involvement are crucial, as the role operates within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The position also requires flexibility in working hours, including availability for evening and weekend events. A valid driver’s license and the physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds are necessary to meet the physical demands of the job. Although not mandatory, familiarity with Hawaii’s cultural landscape would be highly appreciated, aiding in aligning events more closely with local values and expectations. Candidates must reside in-state as this is an on-site role and should be prepared for immediate interviews. This opportunity not only offers competitive pay and a supportive workplace but also provides the chance to impact community engagement positively through well-executed events.
