Job Description
The company is a professional hospitality organization with a solid reputation for executing well-run events and delivering warm, attentive service. Known throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, this team prides itself on teamwork, clear communication, and the highest standards of event delivery. Whether managing weddings, corporate functions, banquets, or social celebrations, the company is dedicated to creating memorable occasions that resonate with clients and guests alike. This dedication to excellence has positioned the company as a trusted leader in off-site event catering and service management throughout the region.
We are currently seeking an experienced Event & Catering Service Manager to join our dynamic team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 annually along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. The successful candidate will have a hands-on role overseeing high-volume off-site catering and events, thriving in a fast-paced environment that requires exceptional organizational skills, leadership, and client-focused service delivery.
In this demanding yet rewarding role, the Event & Catering Service Manager will be responsible for the entire event journey—from initial client briefing and planning through to on-site event leadership and post-event review. This means managing all aspects of event logistics, including coordinating menus, floor layouts, staffing, and supplier collaboration. The position requires someone who enjoys variety and challenge, as each day can bring different tasks such as planning banquet setups one day and leading a team on a bustling event floor the next.
The manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism, accuracy, and a warm approach. Success in this role demands the ability to quickly resolve issues on-site, maintain food safety compliance, and supervise service teams effectively. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned professional with at least three years of experience in event and catering management, particularly in off-site and high-volume environments. Strong client communication skills, organizational prowess, and a calm demeanor under pressure are key attributes for the ideal candidate.
In summary, this Event & Catering Service Manager position offers a unique blend of operational leadership, client engagement, and event execution within a respected hospitality company. It promises professional growth, the satisfaction of orchestrating flawless events, and the chance to work with a dedicated team that values pride in delivery and mutual support.
