Job Description
The company is a professional hospitality organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area, renowned for their expertly managed events and warm, client-focused service. They specialize in delivering high-quality catering and event management services, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and attention to detail that maintains their stellar reputation. Their team is committed to ensuring each event, whether a wedding, corporate function, banquet, or social gathering, is executed flawlessly, reflecting their pride in delivery and customer satisfaction.
They are currently seeking an experienced Event & Catering Service Manager to lead their off-site catering operations across the Bay Area. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, along with benefits that include 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off. This full-time position is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for orchestrating seamless large-scale events.
The Event & Catering Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire event lifecycle from the initial client briefing to the post-event review. This hands-on role requires the manager to coordinate weddings, corporate events, banquets, and other social functions with the goal of ensuring every detail is executed perfectly. The manager will act as the primary point of contact for clients, guaranteeing that the event runs smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
Day-to-day duties include planning menus and floor layouts, coordinating with chefs, venues, and suppliers to ensure a flawless service, and managing a team of event and catering staff onsite. This position calls for someone who can handle high-pressure situations calmly and practically, resolving issues quickly and professionally during live events. The person in this role will be directly involved in supervising the setup of service areas, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining service quality throughout the event.
This role is highly varied, offering significant satisfaction to those who enjoy seeing an event come together and guests leave with a positive experience. The Event & Catering Service Manager must possess excellent organizational and time management skills, confident team leadership abilities, and outstanding client communication expertise. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential given the nature of the event industry.
Overall, this position suits an individual who holds a deep passion for event management, seeks to contribute to a collaborative and professional hospitality environment, and aims to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence in service delivery.
