Job Requirements

  • Four years of related experience
  • Proficient in MS Office and booking software
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of profitability analysis and budgeting
  • Understanding of liquor, labor, and health regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Possession or ability to possess all required state work cards
  • Minimum of four years related experience
  • Proficient in Windows MS Office, Open Table, Outlook, and GATHER
  • Strong sales results orientation
  • Knowledge of profitability analysis, budgeting, cost of sales, payroll, purchasing, and cost control
  • Knowledge of state and local liquor, labor, and health regulations
  • Experience with POS and back office reporting systems
  • Familiarity with beer and spirits
  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques
  • Strong guest relations skills
  • Understanding of sanitation and safety practices
  • Knowledge of safe alcohol service
  • Experience in full service restaurant operations
  • Effective communication skills in English verbally and in writing

Job Duties

  • Experience in catering and events sales in the Texas market with a rolodex of business contacts
  • Solicit private and corporate events for six Texas restaurant locations to meet or exceed budgeted sales goals
  • Respond to incoming leads promptly and professionally
  • Consult with clients to determine objectives and requirements for events
  • Plan and execute all aspects of booked events
  • Prepare and send formal written proposals based on client specifications
  • Assign group function space effectively to maximize revenue
  • Meet with clients conducting onsite showings and inspections
  • Ensure events are updated and closed in Reserve system
  • Complete weekly sales forecasting and reports
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure events are costed and profitable
  • Monitor event activities for client satisfaction and problem resolution
  • Maintain menus, information packets, guest emails, terms and conditions, and follow-up systems
  • Create menus with Marketing and Chef teams
  • Support local marketing efforts and generate new catering opportunities
  • Manage event billing processes
  • Attend offsite networking and local outreach events
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned
