Boasting a portfolio of over 40 brands spanning more than 20 countries, Tilray offers a wide range of cannabis products, hemp-based foods, and craft beverages that cater to a dynamic market.
Within Tilray, the Beverages Division stands out as a rapidly expanding sector dedicated to crafting high-quality beers. Tilray Beverages operates six production facilities across the United States and ranks as the fifth-largest craft beer business in the U.S. This success is achieved through both organic growth and strategically acquired operations. The division is committed to excellence and continuous innovation, focusing on creating exceptional products that satisfy and delight customers. By fostering creativity and maintaining high standards, Tilray Beverages elevates consumer experiences and strengthens its footprint in the competitive craft beer industry.
The Event and Catering Manager position at Breckenridge Brewery, part of Tilray Beverages and located in Fort Collins, CO, plays a crucial role in sustaining the brewery's vibrant event scene and enhancing catering operations. This role centers on organizing and overseeing a variety of brewery events—including live music, trivia nights, bingo, beer releases, and private parties—aimed at driving revenue and creating exceptional guest experiences. The manager is responsible for event planning, coordinating logistics, managing staffing, and cultivating strong client and vendor relationships. Additionally, this position supports daily operations and acts as the General Manager’s representative when necessary.
Success in this role requires a candidate who can seamlessly integrate creativity with organizational skills to produce engaging events that resonate with the community and customers. The Event and Catering Manager will handle budgeting, staffing, vendor coordination, and promotion development, ensuring that events are not only smoothly executed but also highly attractive to attendees. Furthermore, the role involves overseeing the catering business, which includes private events, taproom buyouts, and large group reservations, collaborating closely with kitchen, bar, and service teams to align efforts and deliver impeccable service.
To excel, the manager must ensure a positive guest experience by addressing client needs, managing last-minute changes, and gathering guest feedback for continuous improvement. Operational responsibilities include compliance with alcohol service laws, food safety, and occupancy regulations, along with managing event-related logistics such as safety, crowd control, and scheduling. Administrative duties encompass maintaining records, tracking sales and expenses, preparing contracts and invoices, and identifying growth opportunities for catering and event services.
Tilray Brands offers a competitive salary for this role ranging from $56,000 to $62,000 annually, dependent on experience, plus an additional 2% commission. The company champions diversity and equity in hiring practices and provides accommodations for applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process. This position is ideal for professionals with experience in events, catering, hospitality, or restaurant management who are eager to make a substantial impact within a vibrant and growing craft beer enterprise.
