With an employee base of approximately 96,700 professionals, UHS has built a reputation for excellence, recognized as one of the World's Most Admired Companies by Fortune and listed in Forbes ranking of America’s Largest Public Companies. Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital located in northern Sacramento, California. Since 1988, it has been a cornerstone of mental health services in the greater Sacramento and Northern California region, delivering individualized treatment plans for adolescents, adults, and senior adults. The hospital provides a broad range of services including treatment for substance abuse and chemical dependency related to drugs and alcohol. Heritage Oaks also serves as a Medicare provider and partners with most commercial health insurance plans to ensure accessible care for its community. The hospital is dedicated to delivering service excellence and strives to optimize patient health and recovery outcomes through compassionate and evidence-based care.

The role of Receptionist at Heritage Oaks Hospital is pivotal in creating a positive first impression for all visitors and callers. This position carries a variety of responsibilities including greeting and assisting visitors, answering the hospital’s switchboard efficiently, maintaining an accurate census of facility occupancy, documenting incoming deliveries, and providing clerical support as needed. Receptionists also support the admissions department by printing round sheet labels for Admissions and Records (A&R) as well as nursing staff. The role requires adherence to a guest relations program to ensure all visitors sign in and receive visitor passes, promoting security and proper visitor management. Receptionists utilize a paging system to announce emergency or important facility codes as required, underscoring the importance of alertness and effective communication in this healthcare setting. The working hours for this role are Monday through Friday from 12:15 pm to 8:15 pm. This schedule supports continuity and smooth operation during peak hours of activity. This position offers a competitive hourly wage starting from $21.00 to $21.50, reflecting the importance of this role within the hospital's operational framework. Heritage Oaks Hospital values its team members and provides a supportive work environment along with opportunities for career development within UHS and its subsidiaries.
