Job Requirements
- Prior experience in a healthcare, longterm care, or institutional laundry environment
- experience operating commercial-grade washers, dryers, and finishing equipment
- experience providing customer service in a resident or patient-centered environment
- demonstrated reliability and strong attendance history
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of safe handling practices for soiled linens and chemicals
- ability to lift, push, and pull heavy loads and stand/walk for extended periods
- skill in operating industrial laundry equipment
- ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
- ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff and residents
Job Duties
- Collect, sort, and weigh soiled laundry from designated resident's areas
- operate commercial washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment according to established procedures
- fold, stack, label, and distribute clean linens and personal clothing to appropriate units or storage areas
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry work area
- follow infection control practices, including proper handling of contaminated materials
- assist with inventory of linens and supplies
- perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations
