Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in a healthcare, longterm care, or institutional laundry environment
  • experience operating commercial-grade washers, dryers, and finishing equipment
  • experience providing customer service in a resident or patient-centered environment
  • demonstrated reliability and strong attendance history

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of safe handling practices for soiled linens and chemicals
  • ability to lift, push, and pull heavy loads and stand/walk for extended periods
  • skill in operating industrial laundry equipment
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff and residents

Job Duties

  • Collect, sort, and weigh soiled laundry from designated resident's areas
  • operate commercial washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment according to established procedures
  • fold, stack, label, and distribute clean linens and personal clothing to appropriate units or storage areas
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry work area
  • follow infection control practices, including proper handling of contaminated materials
  • assist with inventory of linens and supplies
  • perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations
