Job Requirements

  • Must be in good physical health

  • previous hotel or resort housekeeping experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and respectfully using Forbes and Mirbeau’s language standards
  • provide courteous, discreet service respecting privacy and demonstrating genuine hospitality
  • respond to guest needs, complaints, and requests with professionalism and urgency
  • place chocolates in guest rooms upon entry
  • close both sheer and opaque curtains to ensure privacy and comfort
  • remake beds to brand standards, including folding decorative blankets and arranging pillows neatly
  • remove and replace all soiled towels and empty trash receptacles
  • clean and service all function rooms nightly to maintain standards
  • fold toilet paper and tissues into neat triangles, replenish supplies as needed
  • adjust lighting to create a welcoming ambiance, leaving select lights on
  • perform rose petal turndown service when applicable
  • organize guest belongings respectfully in stayover rooms respecting privacy
  • report and return lost and found items labeled with room number and date
  • perform final room inspections and communicate readiness to front desk
  • maintain fully stocked housekeeping carts and linen closets
  • use resort-approved cleaning supplies and keep tools in safe, clean condition
  • transport soiled linens to laundry during breaks
  • return housekeeping keys, equipment, and supplies securely
  • arrive on time in a clean uniform with name tag
  • maintain neat, professional appearance and hygiene
  • follow housekeeping guidelines and complete cleaning tasks timely and thoroughly
  • report safety concerns or maintenance needs immediately
  • communicate clearly and respectfully with team and leadership
  • attend staff meetings and training sessions
  • support a positive work environment through professionalism and accountability
  • assist in laundry by washing, drying, sorting, and folding as needed
  • perform additional tasks or support other departments as requested
