The Evening Cook position at Aramark plays a crucial role in this environment. Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in cooking or related culinary job
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment safely and effectively
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Food safety certification or willingness to obtain it
  • Flexibility to work evening shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Prior involvement in food preparation or a related culinary function
  • Comprehensive understanding of food preparation principles and cooking techniques
  • Awareness of sanitation practices and food safety regulations
  • Certification in food safety, if not previously obtained
  • Basic mathematical and counting skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare meals as per standardized recipes and guidelines for production
  • Organize workstations with required ingredients and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients by chopping, trimming, measuring, and mixing
  • Properly use kitchen utensils and equipment such as knives, ovens, stoves, and mixers
  • Cook dishes using methods such as baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming
  • Arrange, adorn, and serve food meeting visual display standards
  • Adhere to food safety procedures and store food adequately
  • Sanitize kitchen zones, equipment, and utensils to prevent contamination
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
  • Follow all safety and sanitation measures outlined by Aramark
  • Preserve the integrity of company assets
