The part-time Server position at Messina Hof offers a unique opportunity to join the Vintage House Restaurant and Tasting Room team. Reporting directly to the Estate General Manager, this role is essential in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences to guests by taking food and drink orders and ensuring all tables are served with the highest standards aligned with Messina Hof’s hospitality expectations. The work schedule varies, allowing flexibility for individuals balancing other commitments. Servers at Messina Hof are expected to maintain a comprehensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients, effectively driving sales while embodying a professional and friendly demeanor.

In addition to serving duties, this role involves operating the POS system for transactions, handling cash and credit card payments accurately, and participating actively in promoting and selling tours, tastings, parties, and increasing memberships for the Wine Club and VIP programs. The position also plays a significant part in educating guests about wine varieties, wine and food pairings, and fostering an appreciation for Texas wines. Employees support event operations through set-up, execution, teardown, and cleanup of in-house and contracted events. Maintaining cleanliness and organization across the Vintage House Restaurant and Tasting Room is a critical aspect of the job, along with inventory control duties such as merchandising and stocking. The role requires a team-oriented individual comfortable working in a dynamic and customer-focused environment, capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
