  • minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • state/FBI criminal history clearance
  • successful work experience in a comparable position
  • ability to meet suitability criteria for employment certification or licensure under Alabama Child Protection Act
  • broad knowledge of basic office procedures and functions including electronic and manual filing record keeping purchasing bookkeeping word processing and reporting
  • proficiency in oral and written communication skills
  • ability to use technology to communicate manage data and produce submit reports correspondence or school information
  • physical strength mobility dexterity stamina and acuity to perform job responsibilities
  • such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require

Job Duties

  • perform office routines including answering phones and intercom system taking and conveying messages and distributing mail
  • greet assist and direct students and visitors who come into the office
  • assist in planning school events and activities
  • maintain documents files and records ensuring confidentiality
  • type prepare distribute file and or mail various correspondence
  • demonstrate support for the school system its vision goals and priorities
  • provide administrative support to secretary bookkeeper receptionist principal director or other school personnel as needed
