The Food and Beverage Barista/Cafe Attendant plays a crucial role in the member experience at Esplanade at Tradition. This position is designed for an experienced barista who is service-minded, reliable, and highly motivated to provide outstanding hospitality. A key member of the food and beverage team, the barista is entrusted with the responsibility of preparing and serving coffee, food, and other beverages to members and their guests, ensuring quality and consistency. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is skilled in creating a positive, memorable experience for patrons. The role also includes maintaining cleanliness and organization within the cafe, managing inventory appropriately, and adhering strictly to food and beverage handling regulations. This is a position that not only requires technical proficiency in beverage preparation but also excellent interpersonal skills to engage with members warmly and professionally. Significant emphasis is placed on teamwork and continuous communication with other staff members to ensure seamless operation of food and beverage services. This position typically requires availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible evening shifts in response to member demand, reflecting the commitment to exceptional service at all times. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of experience required in a similar environment or restaurant as a server
  • ability to perform moderate physical work and lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, lift and grasp for up to 5 hours without sitting
  • availability to work weekends and holidays
  • availability to work flexible evening shift schedule based on member demand
  • must maintain current Food Handlers Certificate
  • must maintain current Responsible Vendor or TIPS Certificate
  • comply with all required state regulations regarding food and beverage handling

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of experience required in a similar environment or restaurant as a server
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • proficient knowledge in recommending, pouring, and serving wine, beer, and spirits
  • excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Take care of our members in a professional way that allows them to have a positive, memorable experience
  • work as a team
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in all F&B areas
  • complete opening and closing checklists
  • ensure you arrive to work at the appropriate scheduled time in a full, clean uniform
  • attend and participate in F&B department meetings and other periodic employee meetings
  • plan, organize and manage daily activity
  • conduct daily walk through of your area / section to ensure the facility is safe and presentable
  • protect the assets of the facility
  • operate within the guidelines, policies, standards and constraints as established by Esplanade at Tradition HOA, Troon Management and Esplanade Resort experiences
  • maintain a current Food Handlers Certificate
  • maintain a current Responsible Vendor or TIPS Certificate
  • ensure orders and inventories for all products are placed correctly and in a time manner to ensure we have the products to produce our menu
  • perform other duties as assigned
