The Server position at Hacienda is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment and enjoy direct interaction with guests. This role is designed for motivated individuals aged 18 and over who are enthusiastic about providing outstanding service and enhancing the guest experience. As a server, you will be the face of the restaurant, responsible for greeting guests promptly, offering a warm welcome, and creating a festive dining experience through your engaging personality and attention to detail. You’ll contribute to a team dedicated to making every visit fun, wacky, and unforgettable, all while ensuring the efficient delivery of food and beverages. Your responsibilities will include verifying guest ages, suggestive selling of specials and extras, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked service area.

The position offers not only the thrill of a vibrant work setting but also the tangible benefit of earning cash at the end of each shift, providing immediate financial rewards. Training is provided and typically takes 6 to 8 shifts before becoming fully independent in serving tables. Previous food service experience is helpful but not mandatory, making this an excellent entry point for those new to the industry or looking to grow in hospitality. Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • ability to obtain a liquor license in the state of Indiana
  • verify identification and age requirements of guests
  • provide responsible alcohol service
  • must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time
  • must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • able to operate the POS system
  • handle guests' payments by providing change or processing credit/gift card payments
  • regular and reliable attendance

Job Qualifications

  • prior foodservice experience helpful but not necessary
  • ability to memorize the menu and recommend appetizers, entrees, and drinks
  • able to operate the POS system
  • ability to lift, balance, and carry large trays of food and beverage
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to provide responsible alcohol service
  • must be at least 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • greet guests promptly with "margaritas today?" and provide fresh chips and salsa
  • card guests under the age of 40
