- high school graduate or equivalent
- PBX and/or patient registration experience preferred
- availability to work primarily evening shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- strong communication skills
- capability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- registering ER patients and direct admits
- accumulating and entering patient demographics and insurance information with accuracy and timeliness
- handling all switchboard functions including receiving calls, paging, transferring calls, and providing general information
- maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations
- delivering exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
- assisting with managing patient flow during busy periods
- coordinating communication between ER staff and other hospital departments
