We are currently seeking passionate individuals to join our Best Pizza & Brew Team as Kitchen Staff members. This part-time role is perfect for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have a love for pizza and food preparation. As part of our kitchen team, you will work under the direction of the General and Kitchen Managers to deliver an outstanding culinary experience to our guests. Your responsibilities will include preparing dough, making fresh sauce, chopping toppings, baking pizzas, and ensuring that all foods are cooked and presented to the highest standards. Teamwork and flexibility are essential, as you will also be expected to assist your colleagues in other kitchens or restaurant tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience in a fast paced restaurant setting
  • experience as a pizza maker is a plus
  • possess a service-oriented mindset with a desire to deliver highest quality food
  • clear and effective communication skills
  • basic understanding of or ability to learn sanitation and workplace safety regulations
  • basic understanding of or ability to learn food-handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures
  • previous experience in hospitality and service industry is a plus
  • ability to stay organized, prioritize work, and complete tasks timely in fast paced environment
  • possess and maintain all appropriate certifications including Food Handlers Card
  • weekend, evening, and holiday availability is a must

Job Duties

  • Baking pizza and preparing related ingredients such as dough and fresh sauce
  • chopping toppings including meats and vegetables
  • preparing batches of food cooked to order or kept warm until sold including pizzas, appetizers, and sides
  • operating large-volume cooking equipment such as griddles, grills, or deep fryers
  • preparing and cooking food according to order instructions and verifying quality and quantity
  • multitasking by cooking several different orders simultaneously
  • washing and sanitizing dishes and utensils to maintain cleanliness
  • monitoring food inventory, cleaning cooking station, sterilizing equipment, and replacing supplies
  • maintaining overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards in food prep areas and cooking services
