The role demands a proactive approach to maintaining store hygiene standards, including daily cleaning of floors, bathrooms, break rooms, and other high-traffic areas using approved materials and procedures. The individual will be responsible for equipment upkeep, reporting supply needs, and independently seeking out cleaning tasks to ensure no area is overlooked. Maintaining a positive image and serving as a role model for other team members represents an essential aspect of the job, alongside providing friendly and efficient customer service, assisting shoppers in finding products, and supporting checkout processes with cash handling.

Additionally, this position involves aiding in the execution of Omni-channel retail processes, including Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS), participating in truck unloading, stocking, planogram adherence, and supporting shrink and safety initiatives. Compliance with all federal, state, and local guidelines forms the foundation of operations, with a stringent focus on company policies and standard operating procedures. The work environment is primarily public retail, with climate-controlled customer-facing areas and some stock rooms that may be non-climate controlled. Some outdoor work is expected, such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks.

Physical demands of the role include prolonged standing, regular bending, lifting, carrying, and reaching, with occasional heavy lifting and use of ladders or similar equipment. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen years old
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior retail or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and early mornings

  • Basic cash handling skills

Job Duties

  • Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures
  • Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement
  • Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment
  • Deep clean key areas including bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways, and high traffic areas
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly
  • Notify supervisor of supply needs
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor
  • Perform tasks according to federal, state, and county guidelines
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience and execute cash handling
  • Engage customers on rewards program and private label credit cards
  • Assist with BOPIS and Ship From Store processes
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies
