Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Able to operate small electrical equipment
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
- Willingness to follow infection control and safety policies
- Commitment to attendance and punctuality
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties involving walking, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting
Job Qualifications

- Ability to communicate effectively in English including reading and understanding chemical labels

- Ability to operate small electrical equipment like vacuum cleaners

Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect assigned areas including patient rooms and common hospital spaces
- Operate cleaning equipment according to department procedures
- Use chemicals and solutions following department policies
- Maintain orderly, clean, and safe work areas
- Display positive and supportive attitude towards patients, families, and staff
- Follow patient discharge cleaning protocols including washing beds and sanitizing rooms
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue
- Collect and dispose of waste including hazardous and medical waste according to infection control guidelines
- Prepare cleaning and disinfecting solutions following established formulas
- Move and arrange furniture and equipment in accordance with floor plans
- Attend mandatory departmental and hospital meetings and training sessions
- Maintain proper attendance and punctuality
- Report safety hazards and equipment needing repair
