This position involves joining a team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all campus facilities at St. John's Regional Medical Center. The role is essential to uphold the health and safety standards aligned with the philosophy of Dignity Health. The incumbent will perform a variety of housekeeping duties that are critical for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff alike. The responsibilities include handling basic housekeeping practices and procedures, proper disposal of infectious waste, and the effective and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
This is a union-represented position under SEIU-UHW and follows the terms outlined in the collective bargaining agreement. The job pays between $24.00 and $24.86 per hour and requires employees to have experience with housekeeping in healthcare settings, use of heavy equipment such as buffers, extractors, wide-area vacuums, and wet vacuums, and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
