Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to see and read information, labels, and monitors
- ability to communicate clearly and understand spoken information and alarms quickly and accurately
- manual dexterity to manipulate equipment with precision and accuracy
- physical ability to lift, transport, pull, and push equipment and supplies including bending and kneeling
- willingness to follow safety protocols and infection prevention standards
- availability to work Tuesday through Saturday from 10pm to 6:30am
- ability to work full time 40 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated communication skills including differentiating color-coded labels and chemicals as well as following written and verbal directions
- ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the department
- demonstrated professional housekeeping experience (preferred)
Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures
- use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards
- understand procedures and properly dispose of infectious waste and trash
- handle and clean up emergency spills per department guidelines, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards
- follow all infection prevention practices including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- maintain work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety
