The Village at Victory Lakes is a reputable assisted living community located in Lindenhurst, Illinois. This facility is dedicated to providing a warm, comfortable, and supportive environment for its residents. We are currently seeking a part-time Housekeeper to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of the community's various areas, including resident quarters, dining rooms, lounges, offices, restrooms, laundry rooms, storage spaces, and equipment areas. The position is vital to ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for both residents and staff. The Housekeeper will be responsible for the proper use and inventory control of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are performed in accordance with infection control practices and company policies. The role requires diligence, attention to detail, and the ability to manage assigned tasks within scheduled hours.

The work hours for this position are part-time, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, including every other weekend. The Village at Victory Lakes offers a competitive wage range starting at $15.00 per hour up to $17.95 per hour, reflecting experience and performance. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a role in a community-focused environment where their contribution directly impacts the quality of life of others. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to follow infection control practices
  • Ability to handle cleaning equipment safely
  • Availability to work part-time from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday including every other weekend
  • Ability to comply with all policies and procedures
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties
  • Reliable and punctual

Job Duties

  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain a safe environment in all designated areas using proper germicide cleaning products and following infection control practices
  • Clean, vacuum, sweep, and/or mop all floors and carpets
  • Clean windows and dust blinds and woodwork
  • Clean resident beds and rooms upon discharge, handling infectious waste appropriately
  • Maintain work carts, supply closets, and non-motorized equipment, keeping them stocked and clean
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates
