Job Description

Rogers Behavioral Health is a renowned healthcare organization dedicated to providing specialized mental health and addiction treatment services. As a leading behavioral health provider, Rogers focuses on delivering compassionate care through evidence-based practices, multidisciplinary teamwork, and continuous performance improvement. Their commitment to patient-centered care ensures that individuals receive personalized treatment plans in a supportive environment. The organization emphasizes professional development, employee wellness, and fostering a culture of respect and integrity.

This part-time Environmental Services Technician role at Rogers Behavioral Health involves servicing all facility buildings with a primary emphasis on general housekeeping duties and infection control, which constitute approximately 80 percent of the job responsibilities. The position is structured to provide essential cleaning and sanitation that supports a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The role requires adherence to strict hospital policies, safety protocols, and environmental services standards. It includes a pool position with occasional weekend coverage from 11am to 7:30pm, working approximately 16 hours per week. Candidates will need to be punctual, professional, and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and respectful communication.

Key responsibilities include comprehensive cleaning of designated areas such as bathrooms, offices, patient rooms, and common spaces. Duties incorporate deep cleaning tasks such as changing linens after patient discharge, transporting linens, managing recyclable materials, and ensuring all work complies with safety and procedural standards. The position demands wearing personal protective equipment when handling chemicals or operating machinery.

Beyond housekeeping, the role functions within a multidisciplinary team, assisting staff with challenging or agitated patients and participating in training and orientation of new staff members. Candidates are expected to engage in performance improvement projects and communicate consistently with unit or program managers. The work environment values teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude while maintaining appropriate boundaries with patients.

Educationally, candidates should ideally have a high school diploma or GED, with advanced vocational or technical education strongly preferred. Experience in hospital cleaning and knowledge of specialized cleaning equipment is an advantage, as is experience in the mental health field. Continuing education in specialty areas is required to stay current with best practices.

Rogers Behavioral Health offers a comprehensive Total Rewards benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; employee share programs; life and disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; tuition reimbursement; health and wellness programs; and access to an employee assistance program. These benefits reflect the organization’s commitment to its workforce and holistic support for employee well-being.

Candidates joining Rogers Behavior Health will become part of a respected, mission-driven organization dedicated to improving mental health outcomes and supporting the community. They will receive ongoing support, professional growth opportunities, and the chance to contribute meaningfully within a healthcare setting that prioritizes safety, respect, and high-quality patient care.
