The role in question is a full-time, day and weekend shift position located at the AdventHealth facility at 2201 S Clear Creek Rd, Killeen, Texas 76549. This position is focused on maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of healthcare environments to support patient safety and satisfaction. As a Cleaning Technician, you will be performing essential cleaning and maintenance tasks, including mopping, scrubbing floors, managing carpet and hard surface floor care, and ensuring the proper stock of necessary supplies in patient rooms. The role also involves removing and disposing of soiled linens, trash, infectious waste, and recyclables in accordance with hospital policies to maintain a hygienic and sterile environment.
The position demands attention to detail, physical endurance to handle physically demanding tasks, and excellent organizational skills to manage various cleaning and stocking duties efficiently. You will be responsible for performing terminal cleaning in procedural areas, such as emergency departments, surgery rooms, and pharmacy, to minimize infection risks. The role also requires someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of following both verbal and written instructions effectively. Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate records for regulatory compliance are also essential aspects of this role.

Job Duties
- Performs technical cleaning tasks like mopping and scrubbing floors using appropriate equipment and chemical dilution
- stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary
- manages carpet and hard surface floor care including stripping, refinishing, bonnet cleaning, extraction, and polishing
- assists with set-ups and other project-related tasks as needed
- removes and transports soiled linens, trash, infectious waste, and recycling according to departmental policies
- maintains required records and information for all regulatory agencies
- performs terminal cleaning of procedural areas to maintain a sterile environment
- cleans and sanitizes walls, vents, ledges, and windows according to established procedures
- conducts checkout cleaning in patient rooms including medical equipment following departmental policies
- executes daily cleaning procedures in patient rooms to meet patient satisfaction standards
- carries out intensive cleaning in specialty areas such as Emergency Department, Surgery, Interventional Radiology, and Pharmacy to eliminate infection risks
