Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to use computer
  • knowledge of cleaning materials equipment methods and chemicals
  • strong customer service skills
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • ability to perform physical activities such as climbing lifting balancing walking stooping twisting squatting and handling materials
  • willingness to work evening shifts and occasional Saturdays
  • ability to be on feet for most of the shift

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience helpful
  • knowledge of materials equipment cleaning methods and chemicals helpful
  • strong customer service communication and interpersonal skills required
  • previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment preferred

Job Duties

  • demonstrate knowledge of housekeeping processes tools and techniques in a healthcare environment
  • clean patient/resident rooms hallways lobbies lounges restrooms corridors elevators stairways locker rooms and other work areas to meet health standards
  • wear proper protective equipment following guidelines
  • keep storage equipment and carts well-stocked clean and tidy
  • use pagers and other technology appropriately
  • assist in laundry areas as needed
  • perform physical activities such as climbing lifting balancing walking stooping twisting squatting and handling materials
