Job Requirements
- Ability to treat each patient, visitor, and employee in a courteous and compassionate manner
- ability to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions
- ability to receive and understand directions
- ability to adjust to changing conditions and varied workloads
- preferred customer service training or environmental services experience in hotel, recreation, or healthcare housekeeping industry
- high school diploma or GED not required

Job Duties
- Clean patient care areas using chemicals and manual or electrical floor care equipment
- maintain public, clinical, and office areas in a clean and safe condition
- respond promptly to service calls for cleaning and maintenance
- perform wall cleaning, stairwell and elevator cleaning, curtain removal and re-hanging
- carry out restorative floor care including daily and check-out room turnover cleaning
- operate basic functions of communication devices such as pagers and phone systems
- transport beds to required locations within the hospital
