- u.s. citizenship
- suitability for federal employment determined by background investigation
- passing urinalysis drug screening prior to appointment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- perform janitorial and custodial services at the VA Medical Center
- clean wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, and shower rooms
- sweep, mop, scrub floors using machines, and vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture
- empty waste baskets and dispose of trash
- clean light globes and Venetian blinds
- wash walls, windows, and ceilings using ladders
- refill toilet tissue and towel dispensers
- move furniture and other items as needed
- carry out assignments with minimal supervision
