- Per Classified Civil Service Requirements
- Reading, writing and math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) skills commensurate with job duties required
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous health care or service oriented field experience in an acute health care setting is preferred

Job Duties
- Transport patients as assigned by cart, bed, wheelchair, and/or motor vehicle to various areas of the Medical Center
- Maintain patient transport carts and wheelchairs for cleanliness and safe operating conditions
- Observe patients and report any unusual or adverse changes immediately to appropriate staff
- Converse with patients to convey a friendly and positive atmosphere
- Assist with patient handling as required
- Maintain clean environment in exam rooms and assist with cleaning floors and equipment
- Inventory and restock supplies and linens
