The role of Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager 2 at Sodexo for Hillcrest Medical Center is a pivotal leadership position, responsible for managing second-shift custodial operations. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment that meets the hospital's stringent cleanliness standards and compliance with healthcare regulations. This managerial role demands a dynamic and motivated leader capable of managing a team, collaborating with various hospital departments like Infection Control and the Environment of Care Committee, and ensuring the execution of an efficient housekeeping system tailored to healthcare requirements. Key responsibilities include driving compliance with HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) and Joint Commission standards, which are critical in maintaining healthcare accreditation and enhancing patient satisfaction scores.

Effective budget management and financial acumen are essential in this role, paired with the ability to harness technology to optimize operations. Fluency or knowledge of Spanish is a beneficial asset given the diversity of the workforce managed. The position operates on a 2nd-shift schedule from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with periodic weekend and holiday rotations, making flexibility and adaptability important characteristics for candidates.

Job Requirements

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum 2 years management experience
  • minimum 2 years work experience in housekeeping, environmental or custodial services
  • willing to work 2nd-shift (3:00 pm to 11:00 pm) Monday through Friday with weekend and holiday rotation
