Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- valid work permit required for 16- and 17-year-olds without high school diploma or GED
- 18-year-olds enrolled in high school do not require diploma, GED, or work permit
- high school diploma or GED preferred for individuals over 18 and not currently in high school
- able to work evening shifts
- willing to perform manual labor and maintenance duties
- ability to follow departmental procedures and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- No degree or diploma required
- valid work permit for individuals aged 16-17 without a high school diploma or GED
- ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
- basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures preferred
- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- physical ability to move furniture and perform manual tasks
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Obtains assigned cleaning or maintenance requests from automated systems, daily assignment sheets, or verbal directions
- performs tasks including moving beds or furniture required to service customers or complete cleaning processes
- follows departmental and organizational processes to complete duties
- completes necessary paperwork to monitor departmental statistics
- follows direction and proper usage of all equipment used in job performance
- notifies appropriate areas through work orders or paperwork to maintain hospital equipment and items
- keeps assigned carts and areas stocked to appropriate levels including linen distribution
- completes other duties as assigned such as storeroom maintenance to meet cleanliness and safety standards
- provides high-level customer service to patients and other customers throughout the organization
