The Environmental Services (EVS) Department is recognized as one of the highest-performing teams in healthcare, reflecting its commitment to excellence and attention to detail. This role plays a crucial part in infection control and overall hospital cleanliness, directly contributing to patient safety and satisfaction.

This role is an excellent stepping stone for individuals seeking advancement in Environmental Services or other departments within the Cleveland Clinic. Career progression opportunities including Team Lead, Surgery Technician, Floor Technician, Supervisory roles, and various cross-job functions are available for motivated and high-performing caregivers.

Caregivers will undergo one to three months of on-the-job training to familiarize themselves with departmental policies and procedures, learn various cleaning techniques, and understand the proper use and storage of cleaning agents and chemicals. Handling disinfectants and cleaning chemicals is part of the daily routine, necessitating adherence to safety practices and the use of personal protective equipment as required.

While the official salary information is not provided directly by Cleveland Clinic, the hospital encourages open discussion about compensation during the application process to ensure a fair and individualized agreement.
