Job Description
Mosaic Health Systems is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering high-quality care and maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff. As an established organization in the healthcare industry, Mosaic Health Systems prides itself on fostering a supportive and professional work environment where employees can thrive and grow. The company emphasizes patient satisfaction and exceptional customer service as core values, ensuring that every interaction contributes to a positive healthcare experience.
The Environmental Services (EVS) department plays a critical role in upholding the standards of cleanliness and safety within the facility. Serving in various positions across housekeeping and environmental services, EVS team members are entrusted with maintaining both patient and non-patient areas to the highest sanitary standards. Employment types for these positions vary, offering full-time, part-time, and PRN (pro re nata or as needed) statuses with variable shift schedules to accommodate a range of lifestyles and availability.
Compensation for EVS roles at Mosaic Health Systems is competitive, with pay rates starting at $15.00 per hour for day shifts, $16.50 per hour for evening shifts, and $17.00 per hour for night shifts. This structured pay scale reflects acknowledgment of the distinct challenges and lifestyles associated with each shift, rewarding employees accordingly.
The EVS Technician position is essential to the hospital's daily operations, focusing on cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. The technician undertakes routine cleaning tasks in inpatient rooms, non-patient areas, public restrooms, and ancillary spaces. This role also involves the physical task of moving furniture and properly managing waste, including biohazardous materials, an important aspect of infection control and compliance with health regulations.
Working under the supervision of the EVS Manager, the technician is part of a collaborative team that ensures a hygienic environment critical for patient recovery and overall hospital operations. Responsibilities extend beyond mere cleaning; they include demonstrating proper hand hygiene, the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and proficiency in handling and applying cleaning and disinfecting chemicals safely.
Exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction are paramount in this role, highlighting the importance of interpersonal skills and a conscientious approach to work. Employees in this position impact the patient's experience directly by contributing to the comfort and health safety of the facility.
For individuals seeking a rewarding role within a healthcare setting that offers flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, the Environmental Services positions at Mosaic Health Systems represent an excellent career choice. Mosaic Health Systems supports its team members through comprehensive training, clear guidelines, and a supportive work culture, ensuring every employee is equipped to perform their duties effectively and safely.
