Job Description

Longview Rehabilitation Hospital is a specialized healthcare facility located in Longview, Texas, with over 15 beds dedicated to providing exceptional rehabilitative care. As part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network with facilities that span 29 states, Longview Rehabilitation Hospital is deeply committed to the mission of Making Communities Healthier. The hospital has proudly served the Longview community for over five years, offering comprehensive rehabilitation services designed to assist patients in regaining independence and improving quality of life. Lifepoint Health, known for its expansive healthcare network including 63 community hospital campuses, 32 rehabilitation and behavioral health hospitals, and more than 170 additional care sites, ensures that each affiliated facility maintains high standards of patient-centered care and professional development for its workforce.

As an Environmental Services Aide at Longview Rehabilitation Hospital, you will play a crucial role in sustaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment that directly supports infection control protocols and enhances the overall patient experience. This position involves the comprehensive sanitation of multiple areas including patient rooms, public spaces, offices, corridors, and restrooms. Your responsibilities will include daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors, replenishing supplies, and operating cleaning equipment like vacuums and floor scrubbers. Additionally, you will be expected to collect and dispose of trash responsibly, stock linens to ensure unit readiness, report any safety hazards, and adhere strictly to infection control policies.

This role is essential not only for the physical upkeep of the hospital environment but also for fostering a positive, healing atmosphere where patients, visitors, and staff feel comfortable and secure. Strong communication skills are important for interacting effectively with diverse groups within the hospital community. Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred, as is experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles, which ensures an understanding of the specialized sanitation needs in a medical environment.

Longview Rehabilitation Hospital values its employees, understanding that investing in their well-being and professional growth directly contributes to superior patient care. Environmental Services Aides are offered a competitive compensation package, along with comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance for both full-time and part-time employees. Financial protection options include life, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance, as well as short- and long-term disability coverage, paid family leave, and paid time off. The hospital also supports career growth through tuition assistance and loan repayment programs, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Employee well-being is a priority, with access to mental, physical, and financial wellness programs including free gym memberships, virtual care appointments, mental health services, and various discount programs. This supportive environment promotes a workplace culture where employees feel valued and motivated to contribute meaningfully to the hospital's mission of improving patient outcomes and community health.

Longview Rehabilitation Hospital operates as an equal opportunity employer, committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce where respect and dignity are paramount. Joining the hospital team means becoming part of an organization dedicated not only to clinical excellence but also to creating a workplace that welcomes diverse perspectives and backgrounds. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference through your daily efforts in maintaining a hospital environment that exemplifies cleanliness, safety, and compassion, ultimately contributing to the hospital's overall goal of healing and hope.
