Job Requirements
- No minimum educational requirement
- ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
- experience handling cleaning chemicals safely
- physical ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds
- ability to work full time 40 hours per week
- willingness to comply with hospital safety standards
- ability to work scheduled hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- exposure to potentially hazardous materials and varying temperature conditions
Job Qualifications

- prior experience in environmental services or similar role preferred
- knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures
- ability to follow detailed instructions and infection control guidelines
- good communication and teamwork skills
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and prolonged walking

Job Duties
- Performs 7 step cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units/offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, and rest rooms
- follows discharge cleaning procedures as written
- follow infection control guidelines when cleaning precaution rooms
- utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedures
- uses and maintains equipment properly
- removes trash, biomedical wastes and soiled linen from patient rooms to appropriate disposal areas for Porter pick up
- replenishes paper supplies, bedside and bio bags as needed
- makes additional rounds for trash removal in patient rooms
