Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to follow written instructions for cleaning solutions
- effective communication skills
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
- willingness to work under supervision
- ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies safely
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work well under time constraints
- ability to work effectively as a team member
- ability to courteously greet and exchange information with patients, visitors, and staff
- knowledge of patient and workforce safety
- competency in meeting age-specific patient needs
- basic knowledge of cleaning protocols and hospital hygiene standards
Job Duties
- Assembles necessary cleaning supplies and equipment
- loads utility cart and transports to work areas after receiving instructions
- cleans assigned areas by performing housekeeping duties including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing, polishing
- inspects area upon completion to ensure cleanliness
- prepares cleaning solutions according to written instructions
- performs routine discharge room cleaning including handling soiled linens and remaking beds
- notifies team leader of maintenance repairs needed
- cleans and stores equipment regularly
- logs on and off Interserv and logs tasks per policy
