Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- ability to follow instructions and adhere to hospital policies
- full COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
- effective communication skills
- willingness to report maintenance issues
- ability to use cleaning equipment and prepare solutions
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- ability to work well under time constraints
- ability to communicate courteously with patients, visitors, and staff
- knowledge of patient and workplace safety
- competency in applying care to age-specific patient needs
Job Duties
- assemble necessary cleaning supplies and equipment
- load utility cart and transport to work areas after receiving instructions
- clean assigned areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing, and polishing
- inspect areas upon completion to ensure cleanliness standards
- prepare cleaning solutions according to instructions
- perform routine discharge room cleaning including removing soiled linen and remaking beds
- notify team leader of needed maintenance repairs
- clean and store equipment regularly
- log on and off work and tasks per policy
