Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to follow safety regulations and infection control protocols
  • physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting and prolonged standing
  • effective communication skills
  • availability to work evening shifts and rotating weekends

Job Qualifications

  • previous housekeeping or environmental services experience hospital or healthcare setting preferred
  • knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices
  • ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, clinical areas, waiting rooms, and other assigned hospital spaces following infection control standards
  • remove trash, soiled linen, and biohazard waste in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
  • restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in designated areas
  • operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other tools as needed
  • respond promptly to cleaning requests and spills to ensure patient and staff safety
  • follow daily cleaning checklists and maintain documentation as required
  • maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
