Job Description

Securitas is a global leader in protective services, dedicated to providing comprehensive security solutions that safeguard people, property, and assets. With a commitment to integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness, Securitas operates across various industries, delivering tailored security services including on-site guarding, electronic security, remote monitoring, and consulting services. The company embraces diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace, ensuring that all employees are respected and valued. As part of this commitment, Securitas offers a range of benefits along with robust training and development opportunities to support its workforce.

The Security Officer with Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification role at Securitas is designed for professionals who are passionate about safety, emergency response, and workplace well-being. This position involves responding quickly and efficiently to emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, evacuations, and collaborating with Security Management and Facilities to enhance life safety protocols. The role emphasizes a proactive approach to safety by conducting regular safety and equipment inspections, performing audits to identify hazards, and recommending corrective actions to mitigate risks.

In this role, the Security Officer will also investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence, thereby ensuring a safe work environment for all employees. Maintaining comprehensive safety records including incident reports and training documentation is a critical part of the position, as is scheduling and delivering safety training programs covering emergency response techniques like CPR, AED use, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP). Additionally, the Security Officer acts as the Ergonomic Administrator at their assigned location, providing on-site ergonomic evaluations and managing employee ergonomic support requests in line with the Global Ergonomics Program. This includes scheduling specialist evaluations, tracking ergonomic equipment spending, and assisting with budget forecasts related to Emergency Response Team (ERT) training. The role requires maintaining certification records and ensuring compliance with ongoing training and certification requirements.

The working conditions for this position involve maintaining physical and mental capacity to perform essential functions effectively, including the ability to manage pressure situations, work beyond scheduled hours, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The role requires clear verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities to collaborate with coworkers and management, and a commitment to ethical and professional standards.

Securitas values employees who uphold its core values and thrive in a dynamic, safety-focused environment. This position offers a meaningful career opportunity for those with EMT certification who are looking to make a significant impact in emergency response and occupational safety within a globally respected security organization. Employment type is typically full-time with flexible shifts, and the company provides competitive salary packages aligned with industry standards.
