The role of Environmental Services Technician at CareWell Health is essential in upholding the facility's standards of cleanliness and safety. This position involves responsibilities such as cleaning and disinfecting various areas including patient rooms, non-patient corridors, lounges, offices, and other designated floor areas. The role requires the use of specialized equipment and chemicals to ensure that all surfaces are thoroughly sanitized according to health regulations. Additionally, the Environmental Services Technician is tasked with burnishing floors in patient and non-patient areas on a scheduled basis to maintain a polished and sanitary environment.

A significant part of the role includes the proper collection and transportation of trash and regulated medical waste. The technician must ensure that all waste is handled with the utmost care and deposited in designated storage areas for timely disposal. This function not only supports the hospital’s cleanliness goals but also adheres to health and safety protocols to prevent contamination and infection risks.

The job demands attention to detail and vigilance in inspecting assigned areas to report any safety issues or patient concerns to supervisors promptly.
