Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- ability to remain standing for long periods of time
- ability to move throughout the store
- regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching
- ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or equipment
- ability to use standard commercial cleaning chemicals safely
- willingness to work nights, weekends and early mornings
- ability to comply with federal, state and local legal job requirements
- physical capability to perform job duties
- willingness to engage in interactive accommodation if needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- retail and/or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to handle physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team
- basic cash handling and customer service skills for checkout duties
- knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
- openness to working flexible hours including nights, weekends, and early mornings
Job Duties
- Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures
- dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures
- moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement
- cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment including mixing water and detergents
- deep cleans key areas of the store such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entry ways
- keeps cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notifies supervisor of supply needs
- seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete tasks
- completes all tasks assigned by supervisor
- performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines
- maintains positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers
- projects a positive image and serves as a role model
- provides fast and friendly checkout experience and executes cash handling
- engages customers on rewards program and credit card benefits and completes enrollments
- assists with Omni channel processes including BOPIS and Ship from Store
- participates in truck unload, stocking and planogram processes
- supports shrink and safety programs
- adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
- executes company standards and programs ensuring legal compliance
