Job Requirements
- must be able to demonstrate special training, knowledge and skills specific to job such as van or driver s training within first three months and annually thereafter
- must complete all required mandatory inservices annually
- must be tested for tuberculosis with PPD skin test or chest x-ray upon hire and annually or tri-annually thereafter
- must be certified in handle with care training within first three months and annually if assigned to security or transportation duties
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- completion of security training program or equivalent preferred
- valid California driver s license class c to drive hospital or facility vehicles
- experience working in behavioral health preferred
- previous experience in environmental services in hospital or hotel industry preferred
- two years in a hospital environment preferred
Job Duties
- maintains orderly and sanitary conditions of the facility
- cleans and services the facility and ground areas
- protects life and property of all persons on facility premises
- patrols building and grounds to prevent fire, theft and vandalism
- secures, unlocks and protects building
- responds to security needs of facility personnel and guests
- assists the front lobby reception during visiting hours to ensure contraband is checked
