Job Description

Medpace is a leading full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO) dedicated to accelerating the global development of safe and effective medical therapeutics. With over 5,000 employees across more than 40 countries, Medpace specializes in providing Phase I-IV clinical development services to companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, the company prides itself on its scientific and disciplined approach, leveraging in-depth local regulatory and therapeutic expertise across major areas including oncology, cardiology, metabolic disease, endocrinology, central nervous system disorders, antiviral and anti-infective treatments.

Medpace is currently expanding its patient support initiatives by introducing a new global service dedicated to easing the journey for patients participating in clinical trials. The Patient Concierge Coordinator role is central to this new service, aimed at managing and coordinating travel logistics and reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses for trial participants. This position plays a critical role in providing a positive patient experience by reducing the financial burdens and logistical challenges patients often face when traveling between their homes and clinical trial sites.

This full-time position will join a passionate and dedicated team within Medpace, focusing on ensuring smooth coordination of services between internal departments and working collaboratively with the technology team to enhance related website and integration tools. The Patient Concierge Coordinator will serve as the main liaison for patients and clinic nurses, managing travel and payment requests with a high level of professionalism and empathy. They will also engage with clients and trial managers to establish study-specific guidelines, oversee new study setups by managing portal inclusions, finance coordination, regulatory compliance, and translation needs.

Additionally, this role requires onboarding new clinic sites, planning and coordinating logistics for patient visits, and establishing efficient methods to streamline processes. Monthly financial reporting and budget tracking for patient expenses will also be key responsibilities. Flexibility is essential, as occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary to provide emergency travel assistance.

Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree and have experience in patient-facing roles, ideally within a clinical research or healthcare environment. Familiarity with global travel logistics and understanding the pharmaceutical clinical trial landscape is advantageous, with Spanish language skills considered a bonus. The role requires excellent time management, multitasking capabilities, strong computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a collaborative, enthusiastic mindset with a genuine commitment to supporting patients.

Medpace offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive compensation, flexible work environments, generous paid time off, employee wellness programs, career development opportunities, and a vibrant workplace culture that values purpose and passion. Employees benefit from working on a modern, ecofriendly campus equipped with on-site fitness facilities, while also enjoying community involvement opportunities and discounts on local activities.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care within a reputable organization dedicated to improving health outcomes worldwide. Joining Medpace means being part of a mission-driven company that values its people and strives to make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and families affected by a wide range of diseases.
