Job Requirements
- No prior experience necessary
- Must be a resident of Colorado
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Valid, unrestricted US driver’s license
- Must be willing to work any shift, any day, and any area as needed
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, kneel, squat, and perform physical interventions
- Must pass a full background check including CBI, fingerprint, court databases, drug screening, and others
- Must comply with TB test and state-required vaccinations including influenza
- Must be available for on-call status
- Must be able to travel to remote work sites and transport individuals
- Former state employees with disciplinary termination or resignation must disclose their status
Job Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Possess CNA, QMAP, LPT DD, or MI certification
- Good communication and writing skills
- Good work history
- Eager to help others
- Relevant years of state service experience
- Valid, current, and unrestricted Colorado driver’s license
Job Duties
- Implement Individual Program Plan
- Administer and document residential, therapy, medical, and behavior-related objectives
- Administer oxygen, over-the-counter treatments, and monitor feeding pumps
- Transport individuals to day programs, medical appointments, court hearings, and community activities
- Perform and assist in activities of daily living including meal preparation, personal hygiene, social skills, recreation activities, housekeeping, laundry, safety, and transportation
- De-escalate agitating behaviors and perform physical intervention and redirection techniques
- Respond to medical emergencies and perform other duties as assigned
