Waldschanke Ciders & Coffee is a family-owned specialty Hard Cider taproom, Coffee house, and Small Restaurant located in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. The role offered is for a dependable and experienced Cook who can independently manage kitchen responsibilities while contributing positively to the team and community interaction. The position requires a passion for preparing food with a European twist, including menu items like schnitzel, burgers, baguette sandwiches, flatbreads, and pretzels. This position is not for a Kitchen Manager or Hiring Manager but for a dedicated kitchen team member ready to prepare and serve exceptional food, manage kitchen setup and cleaning tasks, and engage directly with customers at the kitchen window in a fast-paced environment without table service. Working hours primarily cover lunch and dinner services Monday through Sunday, with some flexibility needed for event support, closing procedures, and coverage of team absences. Employees work collaboratively with bartenders and baristas to maintain a smooth closing routine and daily operations.

Job Duties

  • prepare food items with a European twist such as schnitzel, burgers, baguette sandwiches, flatbreads, and pretzels
  • set up kitchen and perform cleaning and prep work as needed
  • carry out closing cleaning duties

  • maintain and stock supplies including napkins, condiments, boats, plates, and flatware
  • take kitchen orders and process payments by cash and credit cards
