Job Requirements
- Entry-level position open to applicants without prior experience
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
- Strong commitment to supporting adults with developmental disabilities
- Flexibility to work full-time or part-time with set schedules
- Some roles require a valid California driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
- Must be able to work in Napa County
- Ability to participate in training and orientation
- Effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to learn and complete comprehensive training
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable vehicle preferred for positions requiring transportation
- Basic knowledge of safety and health procedures
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Provide one-on-one direct support to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities
- Assist clients with daily living activities including eating, bathing, cleaning, and toileting while encouraging participation
- Support clients in community engagement activities such as shopping, exercise, and social outings
- Follow individualized care plans to meet each client’s unique needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and daily activities
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors to ensure quality care
- Attend training sessions and participate in ongoing professional development
