This season, Carowinds is seeking talented and passionate individuals to join their Live Entertainment Department as Live Shows Technicians. This hourly position offers a competitive wage starting at $15 per hour and allows technicians to contribute directly to the creation and maintenance of the park's brand-new shows, attractions, and events. Live Shows Technicians at Carowinds work collaboratively within a team to ensure seamless execution and troubleshooting of live show components. Responsibilities include managing advanced sound systems, lighting rigs, and video walls, operating show control software like QLab, and utilizing industry-leading equipment including Mackie and Allen & Heath consoles and ETC lighting boards. Technicians are also expected to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts safely and efficiently to support staging and show production needs. This role demands technical proficiency, flexibility to work a varied schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays, and a dedication to upholding the park's core values of integrity, courtesy, and inclusiveness.
