Job Requirements

  • US citizenship is required
  • Selective Service registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
  • Must submit an SF50
  • Designated or random drug testing required
  • Successful completion of a security investigation may be required
  • One year probationary period may be required

  • A physical may be required
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate must be uploaded with the application

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a Maintenance Control Center supporting 14 CFR Part 121 air carrier maintenance or 14 CFR Part 135 air operator maintenance
  • Experience performing diagnostics and technical evaluations on aircraft components and systems
  • Experience prioritizing workload and maintenance scheduling based on mission needs and resources
  • Experience coordinating concurrent activities and interacting with flight crews, maintenance personnel, contractors, and leadership
  • Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing failures in airframe, powerplant, and subsystems using manuals and schematics
  • Ability to make independent technical decisions and exercise airworthiness release authority
  • Proficiency with FAA policies, technical standards, and maintenance documentation
  • Holding a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
  • Ability to manage maintenance control operations balancing regulatory compliance and mission readiness

Job Duties

  • Serve as a principal technical specialist in an FAA approved maintenance program
  • Provide 24/7 on-call maintenance control services for AJF aircraft and crews
  • Maintain current operating status of all aircraft and initiate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events
  • Monitor and initiate corrective maintenance including coordination with vendors, bases, and quality assurance
  • Provide technical support for analyzing, designing, installing, maintaining, and modifying aircraft systems
  • Make real-time operational decisions balancing maintenance and flight schedules
  • Manage issuance of special flight permits under 14 CFR Part 135
  • Represent the organization as a primary technical point of contact
  • Notify stakeholders when aircraft are grounded and provide regular status updates
  • Coordinate and authorize all aircraft maintenance with internal and external entities
  • Organize and assign resources for large work activities
  • Provide guidance to technicians and trainees in complex technical scenarios
  • Authorize MEL/CDL/NEF deferrals and communicate equipment requirements
  • Interpret and adapt technical manuals, FAA policies and manufacturer instructions
  • Monitor and record mechanical interruptions to flight schedules
  • Analyze system failures, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions
  • Review maintenance documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Manage electronic maintenance tracking systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned
