This particular role is for an Engineer at the Hilton Garden Inn Warwick who is integral to maintaining the quality and safety of the hotel’s facilities. The position contributes directly to the guest experience by ensuring all repair requests are promptly addressed and preventative maintenance is performed on schedule. The Engineer will conduct property walk-throughs at shift changes, maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas, and adhere strictly to safety and health codes including those for pools and spas. This role requires an individual who is adaptable, has a can-do attitude, and is eager to collaborate within a team to provide a top-tier guest experience.

Moreover, the Engineer is expected to have a detailed knowledge of the hotel's operations, be responsive to any emergency or maintenance issues, and document work completion accurately using an electronic work order system. Job Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of related work experience preferred
  • Positive and willing to learn attitude
  • Ability to follow guidelines and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Technical, trade or vocational school degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in commercial facility maintenance, hospitality or related fields preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and ensure positive guest relations using their names whenever possible
  • Handle guest satisfaction and resolve challenging situations with urgency and hospitality
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities, amenities, and events
  • Use relevant technology and demonstrate proper phone etiquette
  • Keep all workspaces spotless and well-organized including guest rooms and public areas
  • Pitch in with cleaning duties as needed across hotel spaces
  • Complete operational checklists with 100 percent accuracy and submit timely shift handover reports
  • Wear a clean and approved uniform, maintain a professional appearance, and smile at all times
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Show a can-do attitude and collaborate effectively to create a welcoming environment
  • Respond promptly to repair requests and document completion through electronic work orders
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance according to the hotel's PM program
  • Follow all safety and health codes, including pool and spa regulations
  • Conduct full property walks at the beginning and end of shifts noting maintenance needs
  • Keep maintenance areas clean and organized
  • Report emergency or life safety issues to supervisors immediately
