The Engagement Coordinator role at Ozarks Tech is a full-time, 12-month position based primarily at the Springfield Campus, within the Student Affairs department. Offering a salary range of $43,888 to $45,000 annually, this exempt position reports directly to the Director of Student Engagement. This role is vital in shaping an energetic and connected student life experience across multiple campuses and online platforms. The coordinator works collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to develop programs and initiatives that foster a sense of belonging, leadership, and civic responsibility.
Key responsibilities include supporting student clubs through comprehensive administration, leadership development, event planning, and regular advising. The successful candidate will co-lead the Student Engagement Network (SEN), which aims to inspire innovation and cooperation across student life programming. A central part of the position involves coordinating service-learning and volunteer opportunities that link students to their broader communities, thereby enhancing their college experience beyond academics.
Furthermore, the Engagement Coordinator manages engagement initiatives at OTC’s campuses beyond Springfield, ensuring consistency and inclusivity in programming efforts. They also oversee the maintenance and functionality of student club workspaces, manage procurement and financial processes for student activities in line with college policies, and coordinate appearances of the college mascot, Ozzy, supporting event schedules and student performers involved.
The role demands strong organizational and multitasking skills, as it involves the coordination of numerous programs, events, and timelines to maintain a seamless student experience. Effective communication skills, critical thinking, and strategic planning are essential, as the coordinator will analyze participation data to enhance outreach and engagement efforts institution-wide. Job Duties
- Co-lead the Student Engagement Network to foster collaboration, leadership, and innovation in student life programming
- design and deliver leadership development opportunities, workshops, and progressive training for student club leaders and other engaged students
- develop and manage civic engagement initiatives including volunteerism and service-learning opportunities that connect students with their communities
- serve as a liaison to support and expand student engagement opportunities at campuses and centers outside of Springfield
- oversee the administration of student club support including registration, funding, event planning, advisor support, orientation, and ongoing advising
- supervise the student club workspace in the Plaster Student Union ensuring it remains a welcoming and functional space for student leaders
- coordinate procurement and financial processes for student clubs ensuring compliance with college policies
- coordinate appearances of the Ozzy mascot including event scheduling, uniform maintenance, and student performer support
- assist with logistics and administrative support for major student events and campus traditions
- use CRM data to track participation trends, assess impact, and support proactive outreach strategies to increase engagement across all Ozarks Tech campuses and online
- collaborate with departments across the college to ensure student activities align with institutional policies and priorities
- exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality
- comply with college policies and procedures
- perform other duties as assigned including attending college functions, serving on committees, and attending community events
