Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment as EMT-Paramedic
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements in state of licensure for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years clinical or hospital setting experience
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment as EMT-Paramedic

- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy in state of licensure
- Completion of FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years clinical or hospital setting experience
Job Duties
- Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including informed consent management, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interviewing, physical examinations, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE)
- Evaluate donor reactions occurring at the facility per SOPs
- Follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport arrangements
- Refer medical issues and unacceptable findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees
- Manage employee incidents and determine need for further occupational health evaluation
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support pandemic threat investigations
