Job Requirements

  • able to perform general office administrative tasks
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Business Office Communications preferred
  • 2-4 years of progressive work experience in business office communications preferred
  • knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, regulations, and policies related to workers' compensation
  • knowledge of techniques for providing high level of customer service

Job Duties

  • Perform first-line customer service including greeting walk-ins, answering phones, answering inquiries, or directing the appropriate staff member
  • Perform various functions for staff and administration
  • Explain division policy, procedures, and practices regarding general non-case-specific requests for information
  • Direct customers to appropriate claims analysts for case-specific information
  • Monitor and maintain fax machines, copiers, and office printers
  • Distribute printed material appropriately
  • Perform troubleshooting and determine the need for professional technical assistance
