Job Requirements
- Must have an active Texas medical license
- Must possess DEA certification
- Board certified or eligible by ABEM or AOBEM
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including night shifts
- Ability to pass credentialing and background checks
- Commitment to adhere to hospital and clinical protocols
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic emergency department setting
Job Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in emergency medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
- Active Texas medical license
- DEA certification
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
- Experience working in a trauma center environment preferred
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Job Duties
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in the ER
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including general surgery, orthopedics, oncology, OBGYN, cardiac, intensivist, and pulmonary specialists
- Utilize MediTech EMR system for accurate and efficient documentation
- Participate in 12-hour shifts covering both day and night hours
- Support and work alongside scribes and advanced practice providers during specified shift hours
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to Level IV Trauma Center protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality care
