Job Requirements

  • Must have an active Texas medical license
  • Must possess DEA certification
  • Board certified or eligible by ABEM or AOBEM
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including night shifts
  • Ability to pass credentialing and background checks
  • Commitment to adhere to hospital and clinical protocols
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic emergency department setting

Job Qualifications

  • Board certified or board eligible in emergency medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
  • Active Texas medical license
  • DEA certification
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
  • Experience working in a trauma center environment preferred
  • Strong clinical and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Job Duties

  • Provide emergency medical care to patients in the ER
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including general surgery, orthopedics, oncology, OBGYN, cardiac, intensivist, and pulmonary specialists
  • Utilize MediTech EMR system for accurate and efficient documentation
  • Participate in 12-hour shifts covering both day and night hours
  • Support and work alongside scribes and advanced practice providers during specified shift hours
  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to Level IV Trauma Center protocols
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality care
